Privacy Policy
PropMatters is a zero-brokerage real estate marketplace that connects buyers directly with verified developers and builders across India. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
01What We Collect
When you create an account
Your name, email address, and phone number. We verify your phone number by sending a one-time password to WhatsApp or email — we never share or sell your number.
When you enquire about a property
Your name, phone number, email (if you provide one), and any message you send. We also note which property you enquired about so we can connect you with the right developer.
Automatically
We collect basic usage data like which pages you visit, how long you stay, your device type, and browser information. This helps us understand what's working and what needs improvement.
02How We Use It
- To keep your account secure and manage your login session.
- To connect you with the right developer or builder when you enquire about a property.
- To send you OTPs for login and verification.
- To show you properties that match your preferences.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and misuse of our platform.
- To improve how the platform looks and works for everyone.
03Who We Share It With
We never sell your personal information. We only share it in these situations:
- With the developer or builder you enquire about — so they can get back to you.
- With trusted service providers who help us run the platform (like hosting, email, and messaging services). They only use your data as instructed by us.
- When the law requires us to, or to protect someone's safety or rights.
04Cookies
We use small files called cookies to make the platform work and to understand how you use it.
- Essential: Keep you logged in and remember your cookie preferences. These are always on.
- Analytics: Help us see how many people visit and which pages are popular. Only used with your permission.
- Advertising: Help us show relevant ads on Facebook and Google. Only used with your permission.
You can change your cookie preferences anytime from the banner on our site or through your browser settings.
05How We Keep It Safe
We use encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls to protect your data. Only authorised team members can access personal information, and only when needed. While no system is 100% secure, we take every reasonable measure to keep your information safe.
06How Long We Keep It
We keep your information as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable time, though some information may be kept longer if required by law. Enquiry records are kept for up to 36 months so we can continue to assist you.
07Your Rights
You're in control of your data. You can:
- View the personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Request that we delete your data.
